For this spring, we recommend you do as Matthew McConaughey's character ingeniously declared in the classic chick flick How to Lose a Guys in 10 Days--frost yourself! The Spring runways this year were blinged out in shimmery sequins, sparkling crystals, and eye-catching embellishments. The key to translating this runway trend to everyday wear is to be strategic with the embellishments. Below, we show how we have been styling this trend with a few simple yet versatile embellished pieces.

Inspiration Boards: Reign

We recently started watching CW's Reign, a period drama based on the life of Mary, Queen of Scots. Though we love the endless drama, the costumes completely steal the spotlight. We've been obsessed with the gorgeous gowns and the stunning accessories. So much so that we were inspired to re-create some of the outfits seen in the show. Below are some of our modern day interpretations of a few of our favorites:

Cobalt

Ever since Stella McCartney's Fall 2012 runway show that featured subtle pops of cobalt, we've been inspired to incorporate the color into our own closets. With the resurgence of cobalt on the runway for Spring 2014, we decided to pick a few of our favorite pieces to create 3 looks.
